Train Traffic Model Trains

I went out and purchased a new train set yesterday from my local hobby supply store. There where many choices to choose from, but I decided on the HO scale Cavalier (#01331) from Bachmann’s Spectrum line. This package was a complete set that is ready-to-run out of the box. The Cavalier set includes the trademarked E-Z line of track and an analog controller. The train is DCC ready.

The Pennsylvania Railroad was one of the largest in the world for much of the one hundred and twenty-two years it was in operation. The keystone crest of Pennsylvania is “The Standard Railroad of America.” Moreover, the Pennsylvania Railroad was very much the standard, with more than 10,000 miles of tracks. Running those 10,000 miles of track were almost 7,000 locomotives and more than 250,000 cars.
